Printed Hybrid Elecronics
Printed Hybrid Electronics Manufacture using Printed Electronics and Thick Film Paste materials
Printed electronics offers a more sustainable method of producing IoT devices. Hybrid devices combine a printed additive approach with the use of traditional silicon components. An example, includes the manufacture of microelectronic devices on ceramic using our thick film gold pastes and wire bonding semiconductor components.
In printed electronics, printed silver and dielectric layers use our electronically conductive adhesives to attach components such as LEDS, resistor, capacitors and microprocessors.

Examples of Printed Hybrid Electronics

Flex circuit for detecting Human Movement
A flexible printed electronics device containing silicon processor to monitor acceleration were manufactured for insertion into a garment as part of a tracking system for elite athletes.
The technology used Dycotec’s silver conductive pastes, dielectric inks and electronically conductive adhesives. Data was monitored and sent via a WiFi network to allow remote monitoring
Prototype Development
We are able to prototype hybrid printed electronic devices using our materials:
- Industrial screen printers and a range of IR and convection ovens and UV conveyors for manufacturing electronic circuits
- 3-axis pressure-time dispense equipment available for depositing electronically conductive adhesives
- Surface Mount assembly and die placement equipment for attaching components to high precision
