Biosensor Inks

Dycotec Materials offer a complete portfolio of inks and pastes to produce printed biosensor devices including; silver-silver-chloride for reference electrodes, hydrophobic carbon, solid-state electrolytes and junction layer pastes. Additional materials for device construction including silver, gold and platinum conductors and dielectric and protective overcoat layers are also available.

These materials find application in markets including; ISE (Ion Selective Electrodes), wearable medical devices, biosensors eg blood glucose monitoring and other electrochemical sensors.

Our inks can be processed at low temperature and are suitable for plastic substrates such as PET.

Our broad portfolio of inks find application in markets including:

  • Agriculture
  • Skin patches
  • Medical
  • Marine farming
  • Environmental Analysis
  • Water quality
  • Enzymatic/DNA electrochemical sensors
  • Immunosensors
  • Aptamer
  • Wearable biosensors for healthcare monitoring eg sweat biosensors
  • Graphene based biosensors

We are constantly developing our product range for this emerging market including a custom formulated service.  With the availability of a myriad of industrial screen printing equipment and extensive electrical testing capabilities at our R&D technology centres we can also provide a service to print and test biosensor kits for customer evaluation.

Our pastes are tested to exacting standards ensuring rugged performance for either single use devices or sensors that require longer term stability in hostile environments.

We provide our materials to a global customer base, offering a flexible delivery service from low volume samples to high volume to meet our customer’s production needs. We can rapidly tailor formulations for specific customer requirements.

Benefits of our biosensor systems include:

  • Complete portfolio of products needed for printed biosensors
  • Low temperature processing
  • Suitable for use with most plastics, polyimides and paper
  • Excellent biosensor stability
  • Tailored paste systems are available including graphene based sensors and wearable biosensors for healthcare monitoring eg sweat biosensors
