Thick Film Pastes for implantable devices

The development of medical devices requires extensive regulatory approval, in particular, implantable medical devices are classified at class III and are therefore subject to the most rigorous regulatory controls. Thick film pastes offer ideal materials for use in implantable devices.

Fired at high temperature, they contain no residual organic material and do not suffer from outgassing. Materials are also biocompatible and so ideal for development of next-generation medical devices.

Dycotec’s gold paste (DM-AUP-14040) and gold/platinum/palladium paste (DM-AUP-14041) is supplied for use in next generation active implantable medical devices (AIMD).

These are for medical devices that are intentionally inserted into the human body partially of fully and remain within the body for a set period of time. Devices include pacemakers, defibrillators and cochlear implants.
